How Fohat Designs collects, uses, and protects the limited personal information you share with us.
Fohat Designs is an architectural visualization studio, and our website exists to introduce our work and open a conversation. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal information we gather when you visit fohatdesigns.com or reach out to us, why we hold it, and the rights you keep over it. We collect little, we ask for consent where it matters, and we never sell your data.
Scope & Introduction
This policy governs how the Studio handles your personal information across our website and the correspondence that follows from it.
Fohat Designs ("the Studio", "we", "us") is a premium architectural visualization studio, operating primarily from India and serving clients worldwide. We produce photorealistic exterior, interior and landscape renders, architectural concepts, real-estate marketing visuals and cinematic walkthrough experiences for developers, builders, architects and property brands.
Our website, fohatdesigns.com, is a marketing site. It is not a software product: there are no accounts, no online payments and no e-commerce. We collect personal information chiefly through a single contact form, supported by privacy-respecting analytics and standard cookies. This policy covers that website and the enquiries and project conversations that follow from it.
We have written this document to be honest and substantive rather than exhaustive for its own sake. It is intended to align with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act") and to reflect global best practice, including the data-protection rights recognised under regimes such as the GDPR.
The Information We Collect
We keep collection deliberately minimal. In practice, the information we hold falls into three categories.
Contact-form data — The name, email address and project details or message you enter when you complete our contact form. You decide how much to disclose; we ask only for what we need to understand and answer your enquiry.
Usage & device data — Limited technical information our servers and analytics may record as you browse — approximate region, browser type, device and operating system, referring pages, and the pages you view. This is generally handled in aggregate to understand how the site performs.
Cookies & similar technologies — Small files and equivalent technologies stored on your device that let the site function and, where you consent, measure usage. These are described in Section 04.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data, and we ask that you not include it in your enquiry. Should our work together later call for more detailed information, we will address that directly with you under a separate agreement, not through this website.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information for clear, limited purposes — never to profile you for its own sake.
To respond to you — Reading your enquiry, replying by email, and discussing your project, timeline and requirements.
To provide our services — Preparing proposals, scoping visualization work, and communicating throughout an engagement that begins with your enquiry.
To improve the site — Understanding, usually in aggregate, how visitors experience fohatdesigns.com so we can refine its performance and content.
To keep the site secure — Detecting, preventing and addressing technical issues, misuse or fraudulent activity.
To meet legal obligations — Retaining records or responding where the law of India, or another applicable law, requires it.
Under the DPDP Act we rely primarily on your consent, given when you submit the contact form, and on the legitimate uses the Act permits. Where a GDPR analysis applies, our lawful bases are your consent, our legitimate interest in operating and improving a modest marketing website, and the steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal effects.
Data Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as it serves the purpose for which it was collected, and no longer than is reasonable or required by law.
Enquiries that do not proceed — Where an enquiry does not lead to an engagement, we retain the correspondence for a limited period to allow for follow-up, then delete or anonymise it.
Active and past clients — Where your enquiry becomes a project, we retain relevant records for the duration of our work together and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, tax and business obligations.
Analytics data — Usage information is kept in aggregated or limited form for as long as it remains useful for understanding site performance.
When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete it securely or to remove details that could identify you. You may also ask us to erase your information, as described in Section 08.
How We Protect Your Data
We treat the information you share with the same care we bring to our work.
We maintain reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to a boutique studio and to the limited, low-sensitivity data we hold: encrypted connections to our website, access controls that limit who can see enquiries, reputable hosting and email providers, and a practice of collecting only what we need.
No method of transmission or storage is ever perfectly secure, and we do not over-claim. We hold no formal security certification and do not represent otherwise. Should a personal-data breach occur that is likely to affect you, we will act promptly and, where the DPDP Act or other applicable law requires, notify the relevant authority and affected individuals.
Your Privacy Rights
You retain meaningful control over your personal information. Depending on where you are and which law applies, these rights include the following.
Access — Ask what personal information we hold about you and how we have used or shared it.
Correction — Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
Erasure — Ask us to delete your personal information where it is no longer needed for its purpose or where you withdraw consent.
Objection & restriction — Object to, or ask us to limit, certain uses of your information, including where we rely on legitimate interest.
Withdrawal of consent — Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, without affecting the lawfulness of processing that came before.
Grievance redressal — Raise a concern with us and, under the DPDP Act, nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of incapacity or death.
Complaint — Approach the Data Protection Board of India or, where applicable, your local supervisory authority if you believe your rights have not been respected.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at fohatofficial@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. Exercising your rights is free of charge in the ordinary course.
Third-Party Links & Embeds
Our website may link to, or embed content from, other services — a portfolio hosted elsewhere, a video walkthrough, or our profiles on social and creative platforms. When you follow such a link or interact with embedded content, you leave the direct reach of this policy.
We do not control, and are not responsible for, the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any external service before sharing information with it. Embedded content may collect data about your interaction with it under the provider's own terms.
International Data Transfers
The Studio operates primarily from India and serves clients around the world. Because we use reputable hosting, email and analytics providers, your information may be stored or processed on servers outside your own country, including outside India.
Where information is transferred across borders, we take reasonable steps to ensure it stays protected consistently with this policy and with applicable law — including any transfer conditions set out under the DPDP Act and, where relevant, appropriate safeguards recognised under the GDPR. By contacting us or using the site, you understand that your information may be handled on this basis.
Protections for Children
Our website and services are intended for professionals and businesses, and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.
Consistent with the DPDP Act, we do not knowingly process a child's personal data without verifiable parental or guardian consent, and we do not undertake tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising directed at children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at fohatofficial@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our tools, or the law. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page and post the updated version here.
Where a change is significant and materially affects how we handle your personal information, we will take reasonable steps to make it more prominent. We encourage you to review this page periodically so that you stay informed.
Contact Us
If you have a question about this policy or about how we handle your information, we would genuinely like to hear from you.
You can reach the Studio — for any privacy request, correction, erasure or complaint — by email at fohatofficial@gmail.com. Please tell us enough about your request that we can understand and act on it, and we will respond as promptly as we can.
Fohat Designs operates under the laws of India, and this policy is governed by and construed in accordance with Indian law. Any matter arising from it is subject to the applicable jurisdiction in India.
